First Friendly Triangular for U14s for Warriors, Rylands and Aspire! Nail biting and high quality netball suggests a great season of netball ahead.

On a soggy wet Sunday, ten committed Warrior U14 girls arrived at Charnwood College to experience their first friendly Triangular tournament.

In a well fought game, Warriors showed their determination and skills of strong fast passing and energetic dodges to finish just 9 goals behind Aspire who demonstrated some superb netball to be worthy winners.

Aspire then took the court to play Rylands and again were victorious on court in a well fought match.

The last game was Rylands vs Warriors. After refueling with some high energy snacks our girls did themselves proud and came out with incredible determination and highly tuned teamwork. Despite winning the first quarter with impressive defending and accurate shooting, unfortunately we were unable to maintain this lead. The final score was 22-28 which does not reflect how nail bitingly close the match really was with the teams matching goal for goal for the majority of the match.

The girls should be extremely proud of themselves with an impressive display of teamwork and high quality netball.

Big thanks to Angie and Kate for umpiring and Hannah who stepped in with some funky motivational music and coaching tips! Thanks too to all the parents that helped and their kind donations of food to make an tasty lunch afterwards for all the teams!
