Warriors took to the court for the fourth time in the National Premier League this season making the long trip to face Norfolk United with hopes of marinating their unbeaten record. Both teams fought hard in an incredibly close match but Warriors faced their first defeat 57-55.
In the first quarter both teams got off to a great start but Warriors showed more composure and managed to gain a lead of 18-15 taking them confidently into the next quarter. During the second quarter both attacking ends were working tirelessly to score off the continuous turnovers being made by each team. As a result, the score remained level and Warriors still lead 30-27 going into halftime.
In the third quarter, Norfolk United started to close the gap of three goals by playing some outstanding netball with defence working hard to turnover ball. However, with Warriors playing some great netball throughout the court they continued to have the upper hand with a score of 44-43 in their favour heading into the last 15 minutes.
In the final quarter warriors had a narrow lead of one goal. However, this was soon closed as Norfolk United upped their game and delivered turnover after turnover. Both teams were battling it out neck and neck up until the final whistle but Norfolk United showed composure and determination to take the win 57-55.
