Warriors secure victory over Hertford Hornets

Warriors took to the court for the second time against Hertford Hornets, in the National Premier League this Sunday. Both teams fought hard in a tight match but Warriors came out victorious with a score of 40-38.

In the first quarter, Warriors got off to a wobbly start underestimating their opponents but, showing more composure, managed to fight back equalling the score to 11-11.

During the second quarter , both attacking ends were working tirelessly to score off their centre passes with the defence making it difficult for both teams. As a result, the score remained level at 21-21 at half time.

In the third quarter, Warriors started to breakaway gaining a gap of 3 goals by playing some outstanding defence turning over ball. However, Hornets did not give up, playing some great netball throughout the court, continuing to challenge for ball constantly, with the score being 29-32 to Warriors heading into the final 15 minutes.

In the final quarter both teams fought extremely hard. However, Warriors were able to keep a small lead throughout, upping their game and delivering great play from both ends of the court. Both teams were battling it out neck and neck up till the final whistle, but Warriors showed composure and determination to take the win, 40-38.
