Warriors suffer defeat to top of the table Sussex Thunder

Charnwood Rutland Warriors took to the court against top of the table Sussex Thunder this weekend in the National Premier league. After a well contested game warriors suffered defeat loosing 42-66.

In the first quarter, both teams got off to a great start and playing some great netball, but Thunder showed more composure went into the second quarter with a lead of 13 (10-23).

Going into the second quarter warriors kept fighting and showed some more great netball, however Sussex Thunder also showed determination and stretched their lead to 20 goals taking them into the 3rd quarter winning 19-39.

Warriors went into the third quarter still determined to play their best netball and not give up, which is what they did but with Sussex Thunder picking up loose balls and applying lots of pressure they went into the final quarter winning by 27 (28-55).

Going into the final quarter Warriors showed composure and using fresh legs to their advantage managed to win the quarter (14-11) Warriors defence was outstanding in the last quarter gaining lots of turnover for their team. In the end warriors suffered a 24 goal defeat (42-66).
